Artificial Intelligence (AI) Safety

Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Using AI Safely

Artificial intelligence (AI) tools, such as chatbots, can sometimes provide information, answer questions or help you explore your options. However, AI is not a trained support worker, advocate or counsellor.

Please remember:

  • AI does not understand your situation in the same way a person can.
  • Information provided by AI may be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.
  • AI cannot assess risk or respond appropriately in an emergency.
  • AI may miss important details about abuse, coercive control or safeguarding concerns.
  • AI cannot provide emotional support, advocacy or specialist domestic abuse advice.
  • Conversations with AI are not the same as speaking to a trusted professional.

If you are experiencing domestic abuse, it is important to talk to a real person who can listen, understand your circumstances and help you access the right support.

At Stirling & District Women’s Aid, our trained staff can provide confidential, non-judgemental support tailored to your individual needs. If you are in immediate danger, contact the emergency services by calling 999.

AI can be a useful starting point for finding information, but it should never replace professional advice, specialist support or human connection.

AI may also be stored in your AI history and it might note be safe for you to use it.
