At Stirling and District Women's Aid we want to provide the best support to all women including women who may have require additional supports to be able to access our service.
There is a small step at the doors to our building which may be difficult to get a wheelchair across. If this will be an issue for you then please let us know in advance of your visit and someone can come down and help you. There is a lift to get to our offices and within the office everything is flat. Unfortunately we do not have an accessible toilet. Within the refuge accommodation, there is one flat which is fully wheelchair accessible.
If you are a BSL speaker we can arrange an interpreter for your appointment. Where possible we will make sure that we use the same interpreter for all your contact with us, and that the interpreter is a woman. You can make initial contact with us through our email address firstname.lastname@example.org
or through our Facebook
We are happy to provide any of our materials in large print or Braille if required.
Don't speak English?
If you do not speak English we can arrange an interpreter in a suitable language. Where possible we will make sure that we use the same interpreter for all your contact with us, and that the interpreter is a woman. We have staff members available who speak Urdu, Punjabi, Polish, French, German, Spanish and Swedish.
Please do not be put off coming in to speak to us if you do not have childcare for your children. We have lots of toys and books to keep children occupied while you get the chance to speak to a worker. There are time that we may have a volunteer available who can help with childcare so that you can speak to a worker in private, but this is not always possible.
